Customer from the medical sector - DATAGROUP

Written by Tanja Schneider-Selzer | February 24, 2026

Excellent medical products need excellent IT - which is why DATAGROUP has been supporting a German manufacturer of technology-oriented products in a specialized medical field for some time now. In the beginning, there was a personnel bottleneck in the customer's on-site support, which DATAGROUP was able to solve quickly and precisely as a full-service IT provider. In the meantime, this has grown into a successful and trusting partnership for the customer's IT services.

External on-site support for multiple locations

One advantage of CORBOX, DATAGROUP's portfolio for comprehensive IT outsourcing, is that only individual services can be booked from it. This enabled DATAGROUP to make the customer from the medical technology sector a suitable offer to solve an acute staff shortage. Some time ago, DATAGROUP took over responsibility for on-site support at initially one location in Germany. What convinced the DATAGROUP experts there? The fact that they immediately "rolled up their sleeves" and supported the customer's operations from "minute one". The second success factor that promoted successful cooperation right from the start was that the transition and service manager was able to directly manage communication between the customer and onsite support in a targeted manner.

Based on this positive experience, the customer company decided to have DATAGROUP provide onsite support for the two other locations in Germany as well. The IT service provider is also responsible for managing the experts on site so that the customer does not have to worry about this. The requirements at the locations are different, as production, product development and sales are different specialist areas of the company at each location. DATAGROUP therefore not only takes care of classic PC workstations, but also devices in production or in special set-ups for research and development.

Procurement was also placed in the hands of DATAGROUP as part of the merger of the IT service provider and the customer company. All hardware is now procured and refined centrally, which simplifies many processes and thus increases optimization potential in IT workstation support. In addition, all old devices can be reliably returned to the cycle by DATAGROUP in order to be given a "second life" via refurbishing or to be recycled.

"Special missions" and trust in the service provider

A DATAGROUP project employee is also on a "special mission" at one of the customer's locations. In one project, the existing IT infrastructures are analyzed and mapped on site - in order to optimize them in the next step. In this way, DATAGROUP contributes to leaner IT landscapes and thus also helps to save energy. In this project, as in on-site support in general, old devices are also reused or recycled.

DATAGROUP's excellent performance with the customer has led to a lasting increase in trust: DATAGROUP is now the first point of contact for many IT issues, even outside of onsite support, and is often asked for advice - the foundation for a sustainable and successful partnership has been more than laid.
