The Mozarteum University Salzburg is one of the leading European music universities. It has around 850 employees & teaching staff and approximately 1,900 students from all over the world.
The IT department was focused exclusively on the operational solution of daily requirements. As a result, it was difficult to meet the constantly growing challenges posed by the EU GDPR and the requirements of a modern service organization. In order to break through this problem, a qualified solution partner was sought within the scope of a Europe-wide tender. DATAGROUP was able to convince the Mozarteum of its solution approach with its specialists.
Together with the IT department of the Mozarteum and other important stakeholders, such as the rectorate, the legal department and selected users, a detailed assessment was carried out. The target design for the future IT department developed during the assessment was compared with the actual situation. As a result, 30 sub-projects for optimization were created, which were under the influence of the IT department. These sub-projects represented the work packages for achieving the target design, and DATAGROUP implemented 19 of them.
With the help of DATAGROUP consultants, the processes required for the new IT department were developed and documented in the form of operating manuals. On this basis, it was possible to evaluate the following tools for the implementation of the processes to be subsequently implemented by the Mozarteum:
Today, the IT department of the University Mozarteum Salzburg sees itself as a service organization and has innovative tools and methods for coping with the ever-increasing requirements. The requirements of the EU-DSGVO are met in an exemplary manner.
