The KVB Krankenversorgung der Bundesbahnbeamten (KVB Health Care for Federal Railroad Officials) provides its approximately 225,000 members with benefits in cases of illness, birth, death and nursing care as well as measures for the early detection of diseases. DATAGROUP’s Data Center in Frankfurt has supported KVB for years with 24×7 managed services – a concept that has cleraly proven its worth in times of crisis.

“Even when we were affected by the consequences of the Corona lockdown, DATAGROUP was available for us as usual: 24×7”, says Eckard Steffin, CEO of KVB of the Managed Services model.

The continuously good cooperation of the two teams, consisting of IT employees of KVB and employees of DATAGROUP, ensures an extended standby service and a smooth mastering of all IT tasks, during and outside of crises.

“By relieving us of support tasks, we can fully concentrate on our applications”, says Heike Umbach, IT department manager at KVB, about advantages of the support by DATAGROUP. With regard to security, she has also had only positive experiences. “In DATAGROUP’s data center, our data is much safer from unauthorized access than anything we could have realized on site.”
