IT Consulting for Businesses and Public Sector Clients in the Rhine-Main Region

With its headquarters in Ingelheim, DATAGROUP is firmly rooted in the Rhine-Main region and, from this location, serves businesses, public sector clients, and organizations throughout the region—particularly in the Mainz economic area. As an experienced IT company based in Mainz, DATAGROUP combines regional proximity with the capabilities of a nationwide IT service provider.

For several decades, DATAGROUP has been supporting clients in the strategic and operational development of their IT systems. The proximity to Mainz—the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate and a major hub for administration, media, and science—shapes the professional focus of the Ingelheim location: IT infrastructures must be secure, resilient, and capable of long-term operation.

IT Consulting in Mainz: Structured Digital Transformation with Clear Lines of Responsibility

A key focus of the Ingelheim office is IT consulting for Mainz and the surrounding region. DATAGROUP supports digital transformation projects from the analysis of existing IT landscapes through the design of viable target architectures to implementation and stable operation. Its services are aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large corporations, educational institutions, and public sector clients.

Consulting services include, among other things, the optimization of IT operating models, the consolidation of legacy infrastructures, and the introduction of standardized and modular services. The goal is to simplify IT in a sustainable manner, reduce risks, and create transparency.

Modular Service Portfolio for the Ingelheim and Mainz Areas

DATAGROUP’s services are based on the modular CORBOX service portfolio, which covers all key areas of modern IT operations. These include, among others, cloud-based operating models, application and data management, workplace services, security services, compliance services, and a centrally organized service desk. The modules can be flexibly combined and tailored to individual requirements.

For customers in the Mainz area, this means: a single point of contact, clearly defined responsibilities, and an IT system that operates reliably and scales with their needs.

Apprenticeships and Dual Degree Programs

We place a high priority on vocational training. Since 1995, young, motivated people have been passing through our departments to launch their careers in the IT industry. Whether they’re aspiring IT specialists in system integration or IT systems electronics technicians: Our apprentices take on more and more independent responsibilities each year. And with great success: Some former apprentices are now team leaders or manage large client projects. In addition to apprenticeships, we also offer the option of a dual degree program, such as the Bachelor’s in Business Informatics at Mainz University of Applied Sciences.

We offer our training programs not only to our crew members but also to clients and interested individuals in the region. Our training programs include in-person sessions and virtual courses. In addition to traditional method-based training, we also cover topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) and project management. We rely on external trainers as well as the expertise of our crew members, who serve as internal coaches.
