Smart maintenance planning in the KRONE Group

Agriculture feeds the world. The transportation of goods and services is a fundamental part of our economy. The owner-managed family business KRONE has been supporting these two industries for over 100 years with innovative agricultural technology and reliable commercial vehicles. High product quality is a central pillar for stable growth. To ensure this product quality, the KRONE Group relies on smart and proactive plant maintenance in the production environment with the SAP-based maintenance solution OPRA from DATAGROUP.

Technology for nature: Maintenance with OPRA and Smart Tables

The KRONE Group has been using the OPRA maintenance solution for several years. This solution has made it possible to digitize important maintenance processes. Previously, the deployment of maintenance staff was planned in the traditional way on paper. This planning was error-prone and time-consuming. The manual process was digitized by OPRA and supported by the smart tables. The planners can use a notification and order cockpit on the PC to coordinate the maintenance employees, assign orders and define responsibilities. Maintenance staff receive their tasks on their mobile device and can also report the results of their work directly in digital form.

With the help of smart tables, maintenance planners can customize the notification and order lists according to their requirements. Instead of a two-dimensional list that simply contains one task after another, they can create their own individual results lists and group and sort the items according to their needs. This means that separate results lists can be created and archived by electricians or hydraulic technicians according to their requirements.

The following applies to everyone: the digital process eliminates the effort of paper-based planning. All information is available directly on time in the system. Thanks to a detailed evaluation, it is now possible to identify and rectify problems with individual machines at an early stage.

"Thanks to the OPRA maintenance solution, we have all the latest information available digitally at all times. This has enabled us to make our maintenance processes more efficient. We support our maintenance staff directly at their place of work and can proactively maintain our machines to ensure the consistently high quality of our products."
