A company from the financial sector that relies on IT support from DATAGROUP consistently focuses on modernization and digitalization in its strategy. This also includes modern media technology to support communication with customers and between employees. Long before the coronavirus pandemic, the institute was already focusing on creating the conditions for digital and contemporary working: Home office and on-site work in collaborative spaces should be optimally supported with devices. The company relies on its partner DATAGROUP with its "Media Technology as a Service" service.
Long-standing partnership enables easy integration into existing systems
One of the institute's new office spaces, which was created before the coronavirus pandemic, is characterized by a lot of collaboration space. This offers the opportunity to work independently and effectively combines remote work with face-to-face work. The background to setting up this office is that the company already had the foresight to assume that no more than 70 percent of employees would be present in the office at any one time in the future.
Together with the media technology specialist macom and DATAGROUP, the customer therefore developed and implemented a concept that optimally supports this way of working with state-of-the-art equipment. The requirements varied greatly and ranged from technology for think tanks and project rooms to technology for classic conference, video conferencing and customer consulting rooms and technology for project and large event rooms.
All devices had to be optimally integrated into the existing systems. This is where the extensive experience of DATAGROUP, a long-standing digitization partner, came into play, as it administers these systems and was thus able to ensure smooth interfaces. In addition, DATAGROUP specializes in the financial sector, among others, and meets the high requirements in this area. This meant that the company did not incur any additional regulatory costs when setting up the systems.
Media technology as a service offers high flexibility
DATAGROUP's flexible and adaptable media technology as a service model offers procurement and service for all components. This means that the customer has a central contact person at their side from consulting and planning through implementation to subsequent operation and support. A further advantage of the as-a-service model for the customer is that the monthly payment of the as-a-service fees - in contrast to purchasing the equipment themselves - means that CAPEX can be converted into OPEX.
