Mergers & Acquisitions

We Are Continuing to Grow

Since its IPO in 2006, DATAGROUP has successfully acquired more than 30 companies and integrated them into the group. Through its “buy-and-turnaround” and “buy-and-build” strategy, DATAGROUP actively contributes to the consolidation of the IT services market. Its subsidiaries are structured into the business areas Services & Solutions and Consulting, while centralized service delivery is managed through dedicated central delivery units.

DATAGROUP places strong emphasis on maintaining long-term customer relationships, safeguarding jobs, and sustainably developing the acquired companies. Through a thoughtful and partnership-driven approach, new subsidiaries are gradually integrated into the DATAGROUP organization while simultaneously strengthening their market position. In doing so, we combine the benefits of a shared platform, standardized processes, and centralized services with the preservation of regional customer proximity, local expertise, and established client relationships. This creates a strong foundation for sustainable growth and long-term success—for our customers, our employees, and the entire DATAGROUP Group.

At the same time, acquired companies benefit from the strength of the DATAGROUP brand. We also invest in their continued growth, supporting them over the long term and enabling us to jointly build on their success stories.

Growth with a European perspective

Going forward, acquisitions of IT service companies will remain a key pillar of our growth strategy. In addition to the German market, we are increasingly focusing on selected European markets, where we specifically seek companies that complement our portfolio, regional presence, and customer base. In doing so, we apply the same principles internationally that have shaped our successful M&A strategy for many years: partnership, long-term thinking, and the preservation of entrepreneurial identity.

With the acquisition of Valid Managed Services in the Netherlands in June 2026, DATAGROUP successfully completed its first acquisition outside Germany. This transaction marks an important milestone in the Group’s international expansion and represents the starting point for targeted growth in attractive European markets.
