Managed SIEM and vulnerability management for high security requirements

Security-relevant components in the commercial vehicle industry secure the transportation, agriculture and construction industries! As a manufacturer and supplier of components and systems for commercial vehicles, this DATAGROUP customer therefore also has high requirements for the security of its IT systems. With over 4,000 employees and around 20 production sites worldwide, the customer turned to DATAGROUP in the summer of 2022 with the desire to reduce the risk for the IT systems and to sustainably improve the overall security level and found what it was looking for in the CORBOX range of services.

Gatekeeper for IT systems

DATAGROUP has set up a managed SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) for the 600 servers and 40 firewalls in the customer's own data center, which is supplemented by a Vulnerability Management Service (VMS) . While Vulnerability Management proactively ensures that potential security problems are remedied at an early stage, the SIEM analyzes security-relevant events around the clock. Security events are analyzed and classified by the DATAGROUP team so that, if the worst comes to the worst, they can be responded to as quickly as possible (security incident response) and IT security is guaranteed.

In the course of vulnerability management, DATAGROUP also derives suitable measures based on the data available through analysis and current market information and advises the customer on how to avoid future security incidents. The customer receives an up-to-date overview of all analyses and measures in the monthly status meeting. Thanks to CORBOX services, the customer can therefore rely on a secure system and a rapid response in the event of an emergency.

Check-up for IT security

The security of IT systems is worth its weight in gold. After all, every company, regardless of its size, is vulnerable to external attacks. Carelessness on the part of employees is often the easiest way in. This includes, for example, business email compromise (widely distributed phishing emails) or social engineering (targeted scams on the phone or on site).
