SAP HCM for an internationally active technology group

The digital transformation does not stop at the HR departments of companies - the need for automation and digitalization of often still manual work steps is also increasing there. An international technology group from the south of Germany also wanted to relieve the burden on its employees in the area of HR and decided to implement SAP HCM (Human Capital Management) - with DATAGROUP's SAP expertise at the company's side from the outset.

Standardized payroll accounting with SAP HCM

Since 2015, the company has relied on SAP consulting and implementation with DATAGROUP as a service partner. With the introduction of SAP HCM, the goal was jointly achieved of uniformly accounting for all employees across the entire group and thus also across national borders in one system. For DATAGROUP as an IT service company, this means implementation and intensive ongoing support in three different company codes - instead of one, as is usually the case. SAP HCM was rolled out for around 700 employees at three locations in Europe.

The biggest challenge - in addition to the integration into the different company codes - was the different languages and the different legal situations for the HR departments in the individual countries. In order to maintain the usual high DATAGROUP standard, the DATAGROUP colleagues worked out and implemented the various applicable legal provisions within a very short time.

The scope of the order

  • Implementation of SAP HCM for around 700 employees at three locations in Europe.
  • Support for the existing SAP HCM systems of subsidiaries in other European countries in cooperation with the local HR departments
  • First, second and third level user support in the areas of personnel administration, payroll accounting and time management
  • Proactive information on upcoming legal changes and their impact on the SAP HCM system
  • Implementation of legal changes both in Germany and at locations in other EU countries
